Small crew, big trees
We are a family run team of climbers and groundworkers. We have looked after trees in and around Yourtown since 2007.
Rookwood started with one climber, a borrowed chipper and a rule: only take down a tree when there is no better option.
Eighteen years on, that rule has not changed. We are still a small team, and the person who visits to quote your job is the person who climbs your tree.
We work for homeowners, landlords, schools and farms, and we are proud that most of our work comes from people who have used us before, or been recommended by a neighbour.
Three promises we keep
Prune before you fell
A tree is worth keeping when it can be kept. We will always tell you if pruning will do, even when felling would be a bigger job.
Care for the ground too
Lawns, borders and neighbours matter as much as the tree. We plan every job so the garden stays intact.
Say what we will do
A written price, a plain explanation and the same person from first visit to last. No surprises.

Climbing trees since he was nine and professionally for 18 years. Tom quotes most jobs himself.

Runs the ground team, the chipper and the clean up. If your garden is spotless afterwards, thank Hana.

Our first choice when the wind picks up. Calm on a roof at midnight and very good with worried customers.
