We opened Fig & Fennel to cook the food we like to eat, and to serve it the way we like to be served: warmly, without fuss and with time to talk.
Everything here is made by hand, from the bread to the puddings. We buy what is good that week, and the menu follows.
There is no rush. This is how most nights go, from the first drink to the last cup of coffee.

A warm welcome, a table by the window and a drink while you settle in.

We talk you through the plates and help you choose a few to share.

Dishes arrive when they are ready and land in the middle of the table.

Pudding, one more glass and no one hurrying you out of the door.
Candlelight, long tables and plates in the middle. A few moments from a normal week.

Birthdays, family lunches and team suppers. Take a corner of the room or all of it, with a menu we plan together.

Good for the whole family, and the vegetarian dishes are properly good.
The kitchen closes 30 minutes before we do. Walk-ins are always welcome, and booking is wise at weekends.

Valid for twelve months on food and drink. Sample amounts. We confirm the details before you pay.
Booking, food, drink and getting here. Open any question for the answer. If yours is not here, just ask.
You are always welcome to walk in, and we keep tables free for you. At weekends and for groups of five or more we would recommend booking, so we can have your table ready.
Of course. Just ring or email us as early as you can. If you need to cancel on the day, a quick call is all we ask.
